It all started with a vision to honour the incredible talent of authors and the impact their words have on the world. In 2022, we brought that vision to life with the ABLE Golden Book Awards, where we recognised and celebrated the extraordinary achievements of inspiring writers.

These remarkable authors captivated readers with their unforgettable stories. From imaginative tales that took us on adventures to powerful non-fiction that made us see the world differently, their work left a lasting impact on the literary world.

The awards began as a way to spotlight these literary changemakers, and it quickly became clear how powerful their words are in shaping lives. Seeing their success and the joy it brought to both authors and readers fuels our mission to continue celebrating those whose books truly make a difference.

That’s how it all began—and it’s only the beginning of what’s possible.

Words from Our Celebrated Authors

"I thank the judges and team Able publishing for this wonderful honour. Winning a gold award in the ‘Best Book Series’ category was a truly humbling moment. The expo and awards give authors a solid platform to share their work and have it judged. The nomination and interview process was exciting and the gala awards was the perfect celebratory end to this eventful journey. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to submit another genre of my work. Thank you for the great work you do for the writing community and the support and encouragement you extend to authors!"

"Winning the ABLE award in the digital category is one of many stepstones for me in many milestones to come. It represents an opportunity for women to be inspired being part of the technical world. Since 2009, I have been a human-machine activist. The ABLE award and the organisation behind become part of my long fight. I am deeply grateful for the thoughts of the Juries about my AI book and the connection which the ABLE award ceremony has created for me. A one-life connection with many book authors and the people behind the organisation."

“Being the first award I’ve received for writing, it has been very validating. Writing alone without much feedback, made it difficult to know if my writing was any good. The feedback of the judges makes all the effort over the years worthwhile. I feel at last that I’m not wasting my time writing stories. That's perhaps the biggest outcome, that I feel encouraged to continue when I was actually close to giving up. Thanks for saving my career!”

 06  Understanding Your Work

After the reading and assessment phase, authors who passed the assessment stage will participate in a judging panel interview. This interview serves as an opportunity for you to showcase yourself and your nominated book to the judges.

During the interview, the judges will ask you various types of questions. This interaction allows you to share your vision, goals, and the relevance of your work. It's your chance to provide insights and engage the judges with your ideas.

Through your answers, the judges aim to gain a clear understanding of your authorial vision, the goals you set out to achieve with your book, and the currency or relevance of your work in today's literary landscape.
